Headaches and Migraines

Finding the root of your head pain

If you have ever experienced a headache, you know how painful and disruptive they can be. If you’ve ever experienced a migraine, hopefully you haven’t, you know how awful it can be between the pain, the nausea, the light sensitivity and the fatigue.

Chronic headaches or migraines are no laughing matter. According to The Migraine Trust, 1/3 of every doctor visit has been due to a headache; nearly everyone suffers or will suffer from a headache at one point in their lives. Sometimes you even have to resort to seeing a doctor for medication in order to manage the pain, but that's not always an effective solution.

You can try heat, ice, long hot showers, and many other over the counter remedies to help subdue the pain. You may feel relief, but sometimes treating the headache is only going to alleviate the symptoms of a much larger issue.

In some cases, the root of the problem could be spinal alignment issues, poor posture, infection of the sinuses, or something as simple as a car accident years in the past that did more damage than you realized.

The simple solution? Physical Therapy.

There are several new therapy treatments available that will help you manage your migraine and headache pain in a quick and effective manner. However, these techniques are not available everywhere. Things like the PRRT (Primal Reflex Release Technique) and Associative Awareness Technique have been proven extremely helpful in the recovery process.

In our clinic these types of treatments in hand with traditional therapies help our patients find the relief they've been searching for. If medications like Imitrex or Zomig aren't working for you, we can help you find a path to a headache free life.

Remember, relief is in sight.
